The color scheme in Kawasaki's 2021 line-up is completely novel to the motorcycle industry. They are breaking free of motorcycle designs we've seen in the past and incorporating colors such as deep red, a fire red, and teals and you know what? Motorcyclist like it.

In 2020 Kawasaki incorporated a blue gray color into their premiere Kawasaki 400. A favorite model among most riders. The response was overall positive. It would be no surprise if they took this as the green light to start exploring this hue and Kawasaki went for it.

SF Moto put it to the test with an Instagram poll. We simply asked "Who Wore It Best" comparing colors of the same model.

Here is what riders in SF really think:

KAWASAKI NINJA 400

Grey [WINNER} 63% VS Fire Red 37%

KAWASAKI NINJA 650

Teal [WINNER} 54% VS Dark Red 46%

KAWASAKI Z400

Teal [WINNER} 55% VS Dark Red 45%

KAWASAKI Z650

White & Green [WINNER] 54% VS Black & Teal 46%

The shocker was with the 2021 KAWASAKI Z900; A TIE!!!

White & Green 50% VS Black & Dark Red 50%

EVERYONE WINS ^^^^^^

Interestingly, the white and green design is consistently on top or tied up with the competing design weather it be teal, dark red, or fire red. The traditional green has ended up on top but BARELY which is a testament to Kawasaki. They have balanced interest in expanding the market to incorporate both the traditional and the exploratory motorcycle communities.

Good job Kawasaki!
